Hey gang! Glad that you’ve stopped by to check our CrossSeekers Campus Ministry! We’re still active on campus even though the first few weeks have come and gone, so look for us out and about in the coming days.
Just a remind for this week, we’ll be handing out free breakfast bars at Main Hall on Tuesday morning from about 7:30-8. We love bringing the weekly Breakfast Crew to you each Tuesday morning, so stop by for a free treat to help you through your early morning classes.
On Wednesday night beginning at 7:15, we’ll gather at Goshen 101A once again for our weekly Impact gathering. It has been great to see all of you out each week and we look forward to continuing to grow together as we work our way through the semester! There are always plenty of snacks and drinks as well as fellow students to connect with. Join the community.
Thursday night is our typical gamenight at the Smiths. You are more than welcome to join us in the fun, though the location may change due to a special visit from Becky’s grandparents. It could take place at The Journey or we could just make an excursion out somewhere else for a night of fun.
Speaking of The Journey, the church (located at 200 S. Church St.) is hosting a work day on Saturday (Sept. 22) beginning at 9:30 a.m. There will be a large crew helping out there but we can always use the extra hands. We’ll be painting the CrossSeekers Campus Ministry office located in the church as we continue the renovations. There will be plenty of things to do so come out and help in the process. Plus, you’ll get a free lunch out of it.
Even if you haven’t made it out to anything with CrossSeekers yet this semester, you are more than welcome to join us for any of our activities. We’re up to more than what you see here, so come find out how you can plug in to what God is doing at WCU through CrossSeekers Campus Ministry.

This past weekend, several students helped us paint the CrossSeekers Campus Minsitry office at 200 S. Church St. We were able to put a full coat of primer on the walls and even managed to add some paint to the church’s fellowship hall. If you haven’t seen the changes yet, you’ll definitely want to stop by to see what’s going on! It’s amazing!
On that note, there will be another workday scheduled from 9:30 until the afternoon on September 22nd to help with more renovations (including finishing our office) in preparation for The Journey’s launch on October 14th. So come lend a hand to the work effort! Lunch will be provided and you’ll get the added benefit of serving your community!

Well, the first couple weeks have come and gone. It’s already hard to believe we’ve just kicked off the third week of classes! We truly hope you are having a great time at WCU and are adjusting to life now that you’re on campus.
I hope that you are ready to dig into God’s Word this week as we look at becoming more active on campus and in our daily lives regardless of where we may be. It is important that we continue to grow but we must also exercise that growth unless we want to end up lethargic and incapable of making a true impact on campus.
We hope to see you out on Wednesday night but feel free to check out everything else that’s going on throughout the semester including Tuesday morning Breakfast Crew, the worship team, Ultimate Frisbee, small group Bible studies and more.

Wednesday night, August 29th, will be our first Impact gathering. While it will be a little different than they will normally be, we hope that you will all take the chance to come out and see what’s happening this semester! We meet each Wednesday in Goshen 101A at 7:15 p.m.
And if you’re a freshman or transfer student who would like to have one of our free Survival Packs, we’d be more than happy to pass it along. It’s just our way of saying “Welcome!” and will give you some basic essentials for the beginning of the semester. You can also request one by e-mailing us at wcubcm@yahoo.com.
Hope to see you tomorrow night. If you can’t make it, check out the Howdy Party at 200 S. Church St. (The Journey). It’s a free cookout and gathering to officially welcome everyone to campus. We’ll have free food, free sodas and water and tons of new faces for you to get to know. See you then!

Grace and peace, students!
The second summer term has commenced. Whether you’re here for the rest of the summer or just stopping in as part of orientation, we’re glad that you’ve made your way to West Chester.
If you’re wondering what CrossSeekers Campus Ministry is all about, it’s really simple. We’re about Jesus Christ, as described in The Bible. No more, no less. Granted, there are things that come alongside that, but our goal is to glorify God through Jesus Christ in the entirety of our lives.
Maybe you’re far enough along to know what all that means. Perhaps you’re just starting off on this college journey and have no clue what about the spiritual aspect of your lives. Regardless of where you fit on that spectrum, we hope to help make your time at WCU as much of a fun and growing experience as possible.
So check out what we’re doing. You can get in touch with us at wcubcm@yahoo.com or keep posted here with what’s happening.
We look forward to seeing you around.

No doubt if you saw our advertisements around campus you would have noticed a typo glaring you right in the face. Funny that we missed it, especially since Brodie calls himself an editor and a pseudo-journalist! But, there it was encouraging people with the words:
“Don’t Waste You’re Summer”
Now, you may not be able to pick out the misuse of one apostrophe, but it is certainly there. Go ahead and look again. Yep, now you see it. What we meant to say was:
“Don’t Waste Your Summer”
This was a humbling mistake as a pair of our posters actually had the mistake corrected by the very astute grammar police who were patrolling campus. We are thankful that these members of “Grammar’s Finest” were kind enough to correct our mistakes for the entire world to see. Well, maybe not the entire world as much as those hanging out in Sompac and Lawrence this summer.
I guess you could also look at the punctuation error in other ways too. Example…
“Don’t Waste. You’re (you are) summer.” — which doesn’t really make much sense.
Rest assured, we have corrected our blunder by printing new posters and distributing them about campus to the joy of the Grammar Police and other knowledgeable English types.
So if you happen to see our adverts around, feel free to spell-check them for us. We even appreciate highlighting the mistakes and writing in the corrections. It makes our job much easier.
See ya around,
Brodie and Becky
